Elaine C. Duke, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) deputy secretary, will become acting secretary of DHS Monday when John F. Kelly leaves the post and is sworn in as the new White House chief of staff. Duke has been deputy secretary since April 10. More information on Duke is available on the DHS website.
