MELBOURNE, Australia — Flight Safety Foundation is pleased to welcome Sodexo Remote Sites Australia (RSA) to the Basic Aviation Risk Standard (BARS) program as a new BARS Member Organization, establishing a working relationship between Sodexo RSA and the Foundation.
“Controlling risk exposures related to employee travel on charter aircraft and delivery of aviation infrastructure management and support services across multiple resource industry sectors and clients is complex. Sodexo see great value in participating in the BARS program, as it provides a standardized, industry-specific aviation risk management framework along with the associated tools required to drive ongoing aviation service delivery excellence across our global remote sites business” said Tim Pirga , manager aviation and mass transportation, Sodexo.
BARS Managing Director David Anderson said the BARS program is ideally designed for organizations such as Sodexo RSA as they provide aerodrome/helipad related services and move a large number of company employees using contracted aviation. In addition, the BARS program provides training in aviation related matters suitable for the Sodexo staff who hold aviation related duties at their workplace.
“We are delighted to have Sodexo RSA join the BARS program and see a great deal of synergy in the two organizations working together into the future,” Anderson said.
